ज्या भूमीला संतांचा, समाजसुधारकांचा आणि विचारवंतांचा मोठा वारसा लाभला आहे, अशा बीड जिल्ह्याच्या मातीत शिक्षणाची ज्ञानगंगा वाहती ठेवण्याचे पवित्र कार्य 'श्री. बनेश्वर शिक्षण संस्था' अविरतपणे करत आहे.
संस्थेचे तत्कालीन संस्थापक कै. पू. नारायणदादा काळदाते यांनी ग्रामीण भागातील शेतकरी, कष्टकरी आणि वंचितांची मुले शिक्षणापासून वंचित राहू नयेत, म्हणून अत्यंत प्रतिकूल परिस्थितीत केज तालुक्यातील बनसारोळा, होळ, तसेच अंबाजोगाई तालुक्यातील भावठाणा या ठिकाणी शिक्षणाची दारे खुली केली.
In the soil of Beed district — land blessed with a rich legacy of saints, social reformers, and thinkers — "Shree Baneshwar Shikshan Sanstha" has tirelessly carried out the sacred work of keeping the river of education flowing.
The Sanstha's founder, the late Narayandada Kaldate, opened the doors of education — against considerable odds — at Banasarola and Hol in Kej taluka, and at Bhavthana in Ambajogai taluka, so that children of farmers, labourers, and the underprivileged in rural areas would never be denied an education.
संस्था ग्रामीण भागात आधीच कार्यरत असताना, ग्रामीण भागातून शहराकडे स्थलांतरित होणाऱ्या विद्यार्थ्यांना दर्जेदार शिक्षण मिळावे यासाठी शहराजवळ एक शाखा सुरू करण्याची कल्पना पदाधिकाऱ्यांनी मांडली. यासाठी अंबाजोगाई शहराला लागून असलेल्या मोरेवाडी परिसराची निवड करण्यात आली.
While the Sanstha was already active in rural areas, its office-bearers conceived the idea of establishing a branch near the city, to provide quality education to students migrating from rural areas to the urban centre. The Morewadi locality, situated right next to Ambajogai city, was chosen for this purpose.
सन १९८४ मध्ये, कोणत्याही अद्ययावत सोयी-सुविधा नसताना, केवळ एक उदात्त हेतू मनात ठेवून मोरेवाडीतील स्थानिक सुजाण मंडळी एकत्र आली — श्री. अविनाश आबा मोरे, तत्कालीन सरपंच वसंतआबा मोरे, श्री. हरिदास नाना मोरे, डॉ. द्वारकादासजी लोहिया (बाबूजी), श्री. रामभाऊ नाना मोरे, श्री. गंगाधर आबा मोरे. या सर्व थोर मंडळींच्या सहकार्यातून, सुरुवातीला एका साध्या 'कुडामध्ये' (झोपडीवजा वर्गात) गुरुदेव विद्यालयाची पहिली घंटा वाजली.
सुरुवातीला मोरेवाडी येथील जिल्हा परिषदेच्या शाळेच्या आवारात ८ वी आणि ९ वी चे वर्ग भरत असत, तर १० वी चा वर्ग गावातील समाज मंदिरात घेतला जात असे. तिथून पुढे हा प्रवास उषा व्यंकटेश कऱ्हाडे यांच्या भाड्याच्या जागेत आणि श्री. काकडे गुरुजी यांच्या मोकळ्या जागेत सुरू राहिला.
In 1984, with no modern facilities of any kind, but carrying a single noble purpose in their hearts, the enlightened citizens of Morewadi came together — Shri Avinash Aaba More, the then village sarpanch Vasant Aaba More, Shri Haridas Nana More, Dr. Dwarkadasji Lohiya (Babuji), Shri Rambhau Nana More, and Shri Gangadhar Aaba More. Through the cooperation of all these respected individuals, the first bell of Gurudev Vidyalaya rang out in a simple "kuda" — a thatched, hut-like classroom.
Initially, classes for 8th and 9th grade were held in the Zilla Parishad school premises at Morewadi, while the 10th grade class was held at the village's community hall. From there, the school's journey continued in rented premises belonging to Usha Venkatesh Karhade, and on open land belonging to Shri Kakade Guruji.
श्री. हरिदास नाना मोरे यांनी केवळ गावातील मुलांच्या शिक्षणाची सोय व्हावी या उदात्त हेतूने स्वतःची 5000 चौ.फुटांची मोलाची जागा 'श्री बनेश्वर शिक्षण संस्थेला' विकून अत्यंत मोलाचे सहकार्य केले.
तत्कालीन मुख्याध्यापक श्री. पालकर धों. ता. यांनी 'लक्की ड्रॉ'ची अभिनव योजना राबवली आणि सर्वांच्या लोकसहभागातून शाळेच्या तळमजल्याचे भक्कम बांधकाम यशस्वीपणे पूर्ण झाले.
Shri Haridas Nana More made an invaluable contribution by selling his own precious 5,000 square feet of land to "Shree Baneshwar Shikshan Sanstha", with the sole noble purpose of securing an education for the village's children.
The then-principal, Shri Palkar Dhon. Ta., ran an innovative "lucky draw" scheme, and through everyone's collective participation, sturdy construction of the school's ground floor was successfully completed.
तळमजल्याचे बांधकाम पूर्ण झाल्यानंतर, पहिल्या मजल्यावरील वर्गखोल्यांच्या उभारणीसाठी तत्कालीन मनुष्यबळ विकास (शिक्षण) राज्यमंत्री मा. श्री. जयसिंगराव गायकवाड पाटील यांनी विशेष प्रयत्न केले. या भव्य वास्तूचे भूमीपूजन त्यांच्याच शुभहस्ते संपन्न झाले. अंबाजोगाईच्या यशवंतराव चव्हाण कला, वाणिज्य व विज्ञान महाविद्यालयाचे तत्कालीन लोकप्रिय प्राचार्य मा. विठ्ठलसिंह राजपूत यांनी या सोहळ्याचे अध्यक्षपद भूषवले; त्यांच्या उपस्थितीने या प्रसंगाला विशेष शोभा प्राप्त झाली. हा भूमीपूजन सोहळा मोठ्या उत्साहात व मंगलमय वातावरणात साजरा करण्यात आला.
Following the completion of the ground floor, the then Minister of State for Human Resource Development (Education), Hon. Shri Jaysingrao Gaikwad Patil, made extraordinary efforts to facilitate construction of classrooms on the first floor. The foundation ceremony (Bhumipujan) for this magnificent structure was performed at his hands. Hon. Vitthalsinh Rajput — the then well-known Principal of Yashwantrao Chavan Arts, Commerce and Science College, Ambajogai — presided over the event, lending it special distinction with his presence. The groundbreaking was celebrated with great enthusiasm and in an auspicious spirit.
कुडाच्या साध्या झोपडीतून सुरू झालेला हा प्रवास आज या भव्य व देखण्या वास्तूत परिणत झाला आहे. गुरुदेव विद्यालय, मोरेवाडीने पिढ्यानपिढ्या सुसंस्कृत नागरिक घडवण्याचे पवित्र कार्य केले आहे. या प्रवासात हातभार लावणाऱ्या, कष्ट उपसणाऱ्या आणि जमीन दान करणाऱ्या सर्व थोर व्यक्तींना आणि गुरुदेव विद्यालयाच्या गौरवशाली इतिहासाला त्रिवार वंदन!
The journey that began with a humble hut made of wattle and daub has today culminated in this magnificent and splendid edifice. Gurudev Vidyalaya, Morewadi, has performed the noble task of shaping cultured citizens for generations. A threefold salute to all the great individuals who lent a helping hand, toiled hard, and donated land during this journey, and to the glorious history of Gurudev Vidyalaya!
कुडापासून सुरू झालेला हा प्रवास एका भव्य, कायमस्वरूपी इमारतीच्या पूर्णत्वात परिणत झाला. १२ मे २००१ हा दिवस मोरेवाडी व बनेश्वर संस्थेच्या इतिहासात सुवर्णाक्षरांनी कोरला गेला. या नव्या शालेय इमारतीचे उद्घाटन मा. श्री. जयसिंगराव गायकवाड पाटील (केंद्रीय खाण राज्यमंत्री, भारत सरकार) यांच्या हस्ते संपन्न झाले. या सोहळ्याचे अध्यक्षपद अंबाजोगाईचे माजी नगराध्यक्ष व पीपल्स को-ऑपरेटिव्ह बँकेचे अध्यक्ष मा. राजकिशोर (पापा) मोदी यांनी भूषवले. मा. पुंजाबराव मस्के (माजी अध्यक्ष, औरंगाबाद) यांचीही या प्रसंगी सन्माननीय उपस्थिती लाभली.
The journey that began at a kuda culminated in the completion of a magnificent, permanent building. 12 May 2001 was inscribed in golden letters in the history of Morewadi and the Baneshwar Sanstha. The inauguration of this new school building was performed by Hon. Shri Jaysingrao Gaikwad Patil (Union Minister of State for Mines, Government of India). The ceremony was presided over by Hon. Rajkishor (Papa) Modi, former Mayor of Ambajogai and Chairman of the People's Co-operative Bank. Hon. Punjabrao Maske (former Chairman, Aurangabad) also graced the occasion with his distinguished presence.
शाळेच्या अभिलेखानुसार, आजपर्यंत गुरुदेव विद्यालय, मोरेवाडी या विद्यालयातून 6,800 पेक्षा जास्त विद्यार्थ्यांनी आपले शालेय शिक्षण पूर्ण केले आहे. ही केवळ संख्या नाही, तर 6,800 कुटुंबांचे उज्ज्वल भविष्य या शाळेने घडवले आहे.
केवळ इयत्ता १० वीच्या बोर्ड परीक्षेचा विचार केला, तर आजपर्यंत या शाळेतून तब्बल ४१ बॅचेस (Batches) यशस्वीरीत्या उत्तीर्ण होऊन बाहेर पडल्या आहेत.
According to the school's records, more than 6,800 students have completed their schooling at Gurudev Vidyalaya, Morewadi, to date. This is not merely a number — this school has shaped a brighter future for 6,800 families.
Counting only the 10th grade board examinations, as many as 41 batches have successfully passed out of this school to date.
गुरुदेव विद्यालय, मोरेवाडीचे खरे शिल्पकार कोण असा प्रश्न विचारला, तर निःसंशयपणे उत्तर असेल — येथे ज्ञानदान करणारे द्रष्टे शिक्षक. १९८४ च्या सुरुवातीच्या काळात जेव्हा शाळा केवळ एका तात्पुरत्या कुडामध्ये भरत होती, तेव्हा कोणत्याही मूलभूत सुविधा नव्हत्या. कडक उन्हाळा असो वा पावसाळ्यात कुडातून गळणारे पाणी — या प्रतिकूल परिस्थितींवर मात करताना शिक्षकांनी हातातला खडू आणि मनातील जिद्द कधीही सोडली नाही.
If one were to identify the true architects of Gurudev Vidyalaya, Morewadi, they would undoubtedly be the visionary teachers who imparted knowledge there. In the early days of 1984, when the school operated out of a makeshift kuda structure, there were no basic amenities. Whether facing the scorching summer heat or the rain leaking through the hut's roof, the teachers never abandoned the chalk in their hands or the determination in their hearts while overcoming these adversities.
शिक्षकांचे प्रयत्न केवळ वर्गातील अध्यापनापुरते मर्यादित नव्हते. मोरेवाडी व परिसरातील बहुतांश मुले शेतकरी, शेतमजूर व कष्टकरी कुटुंबांतील होती. आर्थिक अडचणी किंवा जागरूकतेच्या अभावामुळे पालक अनेकदा मुलांना शाळेऐवजी शेतीकामात किंवा मजुरीत गुंतवण्यास प्रवृत्त होत. अशा परिस्थितीत गुरुदेव विद्यालयाचे शिक्षक स्वतः गावोगावी, वाड्या-वस्त्यांवर व घराघरांत पायी जाऊन पालकांचे समुपदेशन करत. "तुमच्या मुलाला शिकू द्या, आम्ही त्याचे भविष्य घडवू" — या आश्वासनासह शिक्षकांनी मुलांना शिक्षणाच्या प्रवाहात आणले.
The teachers' efforts extended far beyond classroom instruction. Most children in Morewadi and the surrounding areas belonged to families of farmers, farm labourers, and manual workers. Often, due to financial hardship or a lack of awareness, parents were inclined to engage their children in farm work or manual labour instead of schooling. In such situations, the teachers of Gurudev Vidyalaya personally visited villages, hamlets, and individual households on foot to counsel the parents. "Let your child study; we will shape their future" — with this assurance, teachers brought the children into the fold of schooling.
ग्रामीण भागातील विद्यार्थ्यांमध्ये अफाट गुणवत्ता असते, आणि येथील शिक्षकांनी त्यांना इंग्रजी संभाषण कौशल्य, गणिती क्षमता व आत्मविश्वासाने कसे सुसज्ज करायचे हे अचूक ओळखले. विद्यार्थ्यांची कौटुंबिक व आर्थिक परिस्थिती बेताची असल्याने शिक्षकांनी अनेकदा स्वतःच्या खिशातून परीक्षा फी, वह्या-पुस्तके व गणवेश भरून दिले. 'श्री. चाटे सर' यांच्यासारख्या आदर्श मुख्याध्यापकांच्या शिस्तबद्ध नेतृत्वाखाली व सर्व शिक्षकांच्या मायेच्या छत्राखाली विद्यार्थ्यांनी केवळ पाठ्यपुस्तकेच वाचली नाहीत, तर जीवनातील संघर्षांवर मात कशी करावी हे मोलाचे धडेही शिकले.
Students from rural areas possess immense talent, and the teachers here astutely recognised exactly how to equip them with proficiency in English communication, mathematical skills, and self-confidence. Given the modest family and financial backgrounds of the students, teachers often paid for examination fees, notebooks, textbooks, and uniforms out of their own pockets. Under the disciplined leadership of an exemplary principal like 'Mr. Chate Sir' and the nurturing care of all the teachers, students did not just study textbooks; they learned valuable lessons on how to triumph over life's struggles.
आजपर्यंत ४१ बॅचेस यशस्वीरीत्या उत्तीर्ण होऊन बाहेर पडल्या आणि ६,८०० हून अधिक विद्यार्थ्यांनी या संस्थेतून पदवी घेऊन भरारी घेतली, हे शिक्षकांच्या अथक समर्पणाचेच फलित आहे. आज एखादा माजी विद्यार्थी समाजात ताठ मानेने उभा असतो — मग तो नामांकित डॉक्टर असो (डॉ. विशाल वणवे किंवा डॉ. रमेश लोमटे यांच्यासारखा), अभियंता असो, वकील असो (अॅड. पांडुरंग कारवंडे), प्राध्यापक असो (डॉ. करणसिंह मोरे), किंवा प्रगतिशील शेतकरी असो — याचे श्रेय या शिक्षकांनी घेतलेल्या अपार परिश्रमांना जाते.
The fact that 41 batches have successfully graduated and over 6,800 students have taken flight with their degrees from this institution stands as a testament to the teachers' unwavering dedication. Today, when a former student lives in society with their head held high — whether as a renowned doctor (such as Dr. Vishal Vanve or Dr. Ramesh Lomte), an engineer, a lawyer (Adv. Pandurang Karvande), a professor (Dr. Karansingh More), or a progressive farmer — the credit goes to the immense hard work put in by these teachers.
विद्यार्थ्यांची क्रीडा क्षमता वाढवण्यासाठी मैदानावर उतरण्यापासून ते सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रमांतून त्यांचे वक्तृत्व व लेझिम कौशल्य फुलवण्यापर्यंत, प्रत्येक बाबतीत शिक्षकांनी महत्त्वाची भूमिका बजावली. शिक्षक व विद्यार्थ्यांमध्ये इतके घट्ट, वैयक्तिक नाते निर्माण झाले होते की शिक्षकांना प्रत्येक विद्यार्थ्याचे नाव व पार्श्वभूमी तोंडपाठ असे.
Teachers played a pivotal role in everything from stepping onto the sports field to boost students' athletic prowess, to nurturing their oratory skills and Lezim talents through cultural programmes. Such a close, personal bond was forged that teachers knew every student's name and background by heart.
स्थापनेपासूनच गुरुदेव विद्यालय, मोरेवाडी हे श्री बनेश्वर शिक्षण संस्थेच्या कृपेने एका समृद्ध सांस्कृतिक व सामाजिक वारशाने नटलेले आहे. शिक्षण म्हणजे केवळ परीक्षा देणे नव्हे, तर शारीरिकदृष्ट्या सक्षम व सांस्कृतिकदृष्ट्या सुसंस्कृत नागरिक घडवणे, यावर शाळेचा ठाम विश्वास आहे.

The journey of Gurudev Vidyalaya, Morewadi, which began in a thatched hut, has today grown into a banyan tree. This sapling, planted by the respected founder, the late Narayandada Kaldate, now offers its shade to the lives of thousands of students.
In the future too, this school will keep running tirelessly, holding fast to the Sanstha's founding mantra — "Preserve the hearts of all; therein lies true fortune" — to carry students from rural and semi-urban areas to the summit of success.
