श्री बनेश्वर शिक्षण संस्था, बनसारोळाचे तत्कालीन संस्थापक कै. पू. नारायणराव रामराव काळदाते (दादा) यांनी केज तालुक्यातील होळ तसेच त्या परिसरातील इतर खेडेगावातील विद्यार्थ्यांची शिक्षण घेण्यासाठी होत असलेली हेळसांड लक्षात घेऊन होळ या मध्यवर्ती ठिकाणी सन 1963 साली शाळेची स्थापना केली.

होळ गावातील जुन्या महादेवाच्या मंदिरावरून शाळेचे नाव श्री होळेश्वर विद्यालय असे ठेवण्यात आले. सुरूवातीच्या काळात शाळा गावातील चावडीवर तसेच गोसाव्याच्या मठात भरत असे. पुढे संस्थेने गावाच्या पूर्वेला असलेल्या श्री होळेश्वर महादेव मंदिराजवळील जागा विकत घेतली. जागा मिळाली, पण इमारत बांधण्यासाठी निधी नव्हता.

सन 1972 च्या दुष्काळात परिसरात तळ्याची कामे सुरू होती. गावकऱ्यांच्या विनंतीवरून गुत्तेदार श्री मुंडे यांनी शाळेच्या चार खोल्यांचे — एक कार्यालय व तीन वर्गखोल्यांचे — बेसमेंट तयार करून दिले. बांधकामासाठी निधी उभारायला तत्कालीन मुख्याध्यापक श्री काकडे सर व त्यांच्या शिक्षक सहकाऱ्यांनी स्वयंलिखित नाटकं केली — "ऊसाला लागल कोल्हा" व "गाव तसं चांगलं पण वेशीला टांगलं" — जी परिसरातील गावोगावी सादर करून निधी जमवला गेला व सुरुवातीच्या चार खोल्यांचे बांधकाम पूर्ण झाले.

पत्रे बसवण्यासाठी सर्व कर्मचाऱ्यांनी एल.आय.सी. एजन्ट श्री जोशी यांच्याकडे प्रत्येकी 10 हजारची इन्शुरन्स पॉलिसी काढली, आणि त्यांनीच शाळेसाठी पत्रे मिळवून दिले. कर्मचाऱ्यांच्या या समर्पणामुळे विद्यार्थीसंख्या वाढतच गेली. वर्गखोल्या अपुऱ्या पडू लागल्यावर, उसाचा पाला, चिंचेच्या फांद्या व शेवऱ्यांपासून विद्यार्थी, शेतकरी व पालकांच्या मदतीने एक तात्पुरती वर्गखोली उभारण्यात आली. शिक्षणाधिकारी श्री चांदेकर यांनी पाहणीसाठी भेट दिली असता, विद्यार्थीसंख्या व मुलांची शिकण्याची जिद्द पाहून ते प्रभावित झाले आणि त्यांनी शाळेसाठी विशेष अनुदान जाहीर केले, ज्यामुळे पुढील बांधकामाचा मार्ग मोकळा झाला. दगड खाणीतून दगड आणणे व घडवणे, तसेच शेतकऱ्यांच्या बैलगाडीने पांढरी माती आणणे — हे सर्व कामे शाळेच्या कर्मचाऱ्यांनी स्वतः केले. रात्रंदिवस अथक परिश्रम घेऊन त्यांनी एक नामवंत संस्था — श्री होळेश्वर विद्यालय — उभी केली.

The founder of Shree Baneshwar Shikshan Sanstha, Banasarola, the late Narayanrao Ramrao Kaldate (Dada), recognised the hardship faced by students from Hol and the surrounding villages of Kej taluka in pursuing an education, and established a school at this central location of Hol in 1963.

The school was named "Shree Holeshwar Vidyalaya" after the village's old Mahadev temple. In its earliest days, classes were held at the village chavadi (assembly hall) and at a Gosavi monastery. Later, the institution purchased a plot of land near the Shree Holeshwar Mahadev temple, located to the east of the village. Although the land was acquired, there were no funds to construct a building.

During the drought of 1972, tank construction work was underway in the area. At the villagers' request, the contractor Shri Munde built the basement structure for four school rooms — one office and three classrooms. To raise funds for construction, the then-principal Shri Kakade Sir and his fellow teachers wrote and performed their own plays — "Usala Lagla Kolha" and "Gaon Tasa Changla Pan Veshila Tangla" — performing them in villages across the region to raise the funds needed, and the construction of the initial four rooms was completed.

To fund the roofing sheets, every staff member took out a ₹10,000 insurance policy with LIC agent Shri Joshi, who then arranged for the sheets himself. The staff's dedication led to a steady increase in enrolment. As classroom space grew insufficient, a makeshift classroom — built from sugarcane trash, tamarind branches, and shevya (long, flexible sticks) — was set up with the help of students, farmers, and parents. When the Education Officer, Shri Chandekar, visited for an inspection, he was impressed by the enrolment figures and the students' genuine passion for learning, and announced a special grant for the school, paving the way for further construction. Bringing stone from the quarry and dressing it for construction, as well as fetching white clay using farmers' bullock carts — the school's own staff did all of this work themselves. Working around the clock, their tireless effort built a renowned institution: Shree Holeshwar Vidyalaya.

स्थापनेपासून साधारण 10 ते 12 वर्षांनी संपूर्ण जिल्ह्यात प्रसिद्ध झाल्यावर, जवळपासच्या गावांसोबतच विविध तालुक्यांतील दूरदूरच्या खेड्यांतूनही विद्यार्थी येथे शिकण्यासाठी उत्सुक होऊ लागले. मात्र वसतीगृहाची सुविधा नसल्याने, कर्मचाऱ्यांनी स्वतःच पुढाकार घेतला — 'दादां'च्या परवानगीने स्वतःच्या पगारातील 4-5% वर्गणी करून वसतीगृह सुरू केले. विद्यार्थ्यांचा भरघोस प्रतिसाद पाहून दादांनी दि. 29 मार्च 1997 रोजी मागासवर्गीय विद्यार्थ्यांसाठी वसतीगृहाची अधिकृत मान्यता मिळवली.

सुरुवातीला वसतीगृहात 20 ते 30 विद्यार्थी राहत असत. पुढे बीड येथील समाज कल्याण कार्यालयाने एकूण 72 विद्यार्थ्यांच्या क्षमतेला मान्यता दिली. त्यानंतर दोन स्वतंत्र वसतीगृहे कार्यरत झाली — एक संस्थेमार्फत चालवले जाणारे, तर दुसरे समाज कल्याण विभागामार्फत. मागासवर्गीय विद्यार्थ्यांच्या वसतीगृहाला "साने गुरुजी वसतीगृह" असे नाव देण्यात आले. कालांतराने वसतीगृहात दरवर्षी 300–350 विद्यार्थी निवास करू लागले. आजवर जवळपास 3,000 विद्यार्थी येथे राहून दहावीपर्यंतचे शिक्षण पूर्ण करून गेले आहेत. सध्या नव्याने बांधलेल्या चार खोल्यांच्या वसतीगृह इमारतीत विद्यार्थ्यांसाठी सर्व आवश्यक सुविधा उपलब्ध करून देण्यात आल्या आहेत. वसतीगृह आजही 'दादां'नी घालून दिलेली शिस्त कसोशीने पाळत कार्यरत आहे.

About 10 to 12 years after its founding, once the school had become known across the district, students from nearby villages as well as remote villages across various talukas grew eager to study here. However, with no hostel facility available, the staff took the initiative themselves — with 'Dada's' permission, they started a hostel by contributing 4-5% of their own salaries. Seeing the overwhelming response from students, Dada secured official recognition for a hostel for backward-class students on 29 March 1997.

Initially, 20 to 30 students resided in the hostel. Later, the Social Welfare Office in Beed granted approval for a total capacity of 72 students. From then on, two separate hostels operated — one run by the Sanstha itself, and another under the Social Welfare Department. The hostel for backward-class students was named "Sane Guruji Vasatigruha". Over time, the hostel came to house 300-350 students each year. To date, nearly 3,000 students have lived here while completing their education up to the 10th standard. A newly built four-room hostel building now provides students with every necessary amenity. The hostel continues to operate today, steadfastly upholding the discipline that 'Dada' established.

जवळपासचे लोक म्हणतात — "अकबराच्या दरबारात जसे नऊ रत्न होते तसे श्री म. वि. काकडे गुरुजी जेव्हा मुख्याध्यापक होते तेव्हा होळेश्वर शाळेमध्येही नऊ रत्न होते."

या पहिल्या पिढीतील शिक्षकांनी शाळेच्या उभारणीत मोलाची भूमिका बजावली — ऊसाचा पाला व धाटे गोळा करून बांधणे, बांधकामासाठी बैलगाडीने पांढरी माती व दगड वाहून नेणे, इथपासून ते विद्यार्थ्यांच्या सर्वांगीण विकासासाठी शाळेत पोषक वातावरण निर्माण करण्यापर्यंत — आदरणीय नारायण दादांच्या अखंड पाठबळावर विश्वास ठेवत त्यांनी रात्रंदिवस अथक परिश्रम घेतले.

स्थापनेपासून आजपर्यंत श्री होळेश्वर विद्यालयात पन्नासहून अधिक शिक्षकांनी सेवा बजावली आहे. आजमितीला शाळेमध्ये एकूण 16 शिक्षक-शिक्षिका कार्यरत आहेत, प्रत्येक आपापल्या विषयात तज्ज्ञ. चित्रकला, संगीत, तसेच शारीरिक शिक्षण यांकरीता विशेष शिक्षकांची नेमणूक करण्यात आली आहे. सुरुवातीपासून कोणतेही डोनेशन न घेता, नियमानुसार औपचारिक मुलाखतीद्वारे केवळ गुणवत्तेवर भरती — हे धोरण आजही कायम आहे. येथील प्रत्येक कर्मचाऱ्याने स्वतःच्या कर्तृत्वावर आपले स्थान मिळवले असल्याने, प्रत्येकजण ही संस्था व शाळा स्वतःची मानून काम करतो.

स्पर्धा परीक्षा, शालेय स्तरावरील चित्रकला स्पर्धा, वक्तृत्व स्पर्धा, रांगोळी स्पर्धा, हस्तकला, शिल्पकला व सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम यांसाठी विद्यार्थ्यांना शिक्षक बारकाईने तयार करतात. इयत्ता 5 वी ते 8 वी च्या विद्यार्थ्यांसाठी नवोदय, NMMS, NTS तसेच शिष्यवृत्ती परीक्षांचीही सर्वंकष तयारी करून घेतली जाते. शासनामार्फत आयोजित सर्व प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम व विज्ञान प्रदर्शनांसारख्या उपक्रमांत येथील शिक्षक सक्रिय सहभाग घेतात.

People in the area still say — "Just as Akbar's court had its Nine Gems, Holeshwar School too had its Nine Gems when Shri M. V. Kakade Guruji was principal."

These early teachers played a pivotal role in establishing the school — from the arduous tasks of collecting and bundling sugarcane trash and stalks, to transporting white clay and stones by bullock cart for construction, all the way to creating a nurturing environment within the school for students' holistic development. Sustained by the unwavering support of the revered Narayan Dada, they worked tirelessly, day and night.

More than fifty teachers have served at Shree Holeshwar Vidyalaya since its founding. The school currently has 16 teachers on staff, each an expert in their respective subject, including dedicated teachers for art, music, and physical education. From the very beginning, recruitment has been conducted strictly through a formal interview process, on merit alone, with no donations ever accepted — a policy that continues to this day. Every staff member here has earned their position through their own capability, and works with a sense of ownership over the institution.

Teachers thoroughly prepare students for competitive exams, school-level art competitions, elocution contests, Rangoli competitions, and activities involving handicrafts, sculpting, and cultural programmes. Comprehensive preparation is also provided for the Navodaya, NMMS, and NTS exams, as well as scholarship examinations, for students from grades 5 to 8. Teachers here actively participate in all government-conducted training programmes and initiatives like science exhibitions.

स्थापनेपासूनच श्री होळेश्वर विद्यालयाला समृद्ध सांस्कृतिक वारसा लाभला आहे. महापुरुषांच्या जयंती व पुण्यतिथीनिमित्त कार्यक्रम आजही मोठ्या उत्साहात साजरे होतात, आणि विद्यार्थ्यांचे वक्तृत्व कौशल्य फुलवण्यासाठी अशा कार्यक्रमांत वक्तृत्व स्पर्धांचेही आयोजन केले जाते. 15 ऑगस्ट व 26 जानेवारीसारख्या राष्ट्रीय सणांना जनजागृतीसाठी प्रभात फेरी व पथनाट्ये सादर केली जातात.

Shree Holeshwar Vidyalaya has possessed a rich cultural heritage since its inception. Programmes commemorating the birth and death anniversaries of great personalities are still celebrated with great enthusiasm at the school, with elocution competitions organised as part of these events to hone students' oratory skills. On national festivals like 15 August and 26 January, Prabhat Pheris (morning processions) and street plays are conducted to raise public awareness.

श्री होळेश्वर विद्यालय, होळ ही शाळा केज व अंबाजोगाई या दोन तालुक्यांना जोडणाऱ्या राष्ट्रीय महामार्ग 548 D ला लागून, केज व अंबाजोगाईच्या बरोबर मध्यभागी वसलेली आहे. श्री बनेश्वर शिक्षण संस्थेच्या मालकीचे शाळेचे एकूण क्षेत्रफळ 1 हेक्टर 26 आर (साधारण 3 एकर 11 आर) एवढे आहे — होळ गावातील सर्व्हे क्रमांक 123/K/6, 123/G/7, 124/8, 124/K/6, 124/G/7, 125/2/4 व 125/U/3 या भूखंडांत विस्तारलेले.

या एकूण क्षेत्रफळापैकी शाळा व वसतीगृह इमारतींनी 2,197.34 चौ. मी. जागा व्यापली आहे. यापैकी 480.77 चौ. मी. जागा पूर्णपणे आर.सी.सी. बांधकामाची असून, तिच्यात दोन कार्यालये, पुरुष व महिला शिक्षकांसाठी स्वतंत्र खोल्या, प्रयोगशाळा व ग्रंथालय यांचा समावेश आहे. उर्वरित 1,716.56 चौ. मी. जागा पत्र्याच्या छताची असून, त्यात 18 वर्गखोल्या, दोन संगणक कक्ष, क्रीडा विभाग, सांस्कृतिक व्यासपीठ आणि मुला-मुलींसाठी स्वतंत्र स्वच्छतागृहे आहेत. वसतीगृह इमारतीत चार आर.सी.सी. खोल्या असून, स्वयंपाकघर — दोन खोल्या, धान्यकोठार व अधीक्षक कार्यालयासह — पत्र्याच्या छताखाली आहे. शाळेच्या मुख्य प्रवेशद्वाराजवळ समोरील बाजूस एक दगडी संरक्षक भिंत उभी आहे. इमारतींव्यतिरिक्त परिसरात विविध वृक्षांची लागवड करण्यात आली असून, एक परसबाग व विविध मैदानी खेळांसाठी उपयुक्त असे प्रशस्त क्रीडांगणही येथे आहे.

Shree Holeshwar Vidyalaya, Hol, sits right on National Highway 548D, which connects Kej and Ambajogai talukas, located roughly midway between the two. The school's total area, owned by Shree Baneshwar Shikshan Sanstha, spans 1 hectare 26 ares (approximately 3 acres 11 ares) — spread across Survey Nos. 123/K/6, 123/G/7, 124/8, 124/K/6, 124/G/7, 125/2/4, and 125/U/3 in the village of Hol.

Of this total area, the school and hostel buildings occupy a footprint of 2,197.34 square metres. Of this built-up space, 480.77 square metres consist of a fully RCC structure, housing two offices, separate rooms for male and female teachers, a laboratory, and a library. The remaining 1,716.56 square metres consist of a structure with a corrugated sheet roof, featuring 18 classrooms, two computer rooms, a sports section, a cultural stage, and separate restrooms for boys and girls. The hostel building comprises four RCC rooms, while the kitchen area — consisting of two rooms, a grain store, and the superintendent's office — has corrugated sheet roofing. A stone protective wall stands at the front, adjacent to the school's main entrance. Apart from the buildings, various trees have been planted across the premises, and the site also features a kitchen garden and a spacious playground suitable for a wide range of outdoor sports.

पूज्य वैद्य. नारायण दादा यांनी विद्यार्थ्यांना विनामूल्य शिक्षण देण्याचे धोरण आणि शिक्षक भरतीत कोणतेही डोनेशन न घेण्याचा आग्रह ठेवल्यामुळे भौतिक सुविधांसाठी मर्यादित निधी उपलब्ध राहिला.

Because the revered Narayan Dada insisted on a policy of free education for students and refused to accept any donations in teacher recruitment, funds available for physical infrastructure have always remained limited.
